With the introduction of House Bill 4024, Progress Michigan is calling out Michigan House Republicans for launching yet another attack on transgender youth while simultaneously trying to torpedo public education in Michigan with a bogus budget.
Matt Hall and Michigan Republicans do not care about our families, communities, or children in Michigan. They made that clear by dragging their feet on a budget this entire summer, leaving schools in the dark on their funding as kids across the state head back to classrooms. They made that extremely clear by proposing drastic cuts to education funding and literally suggesting taking food away from hungry kids. And they made that clear again yesterday when they dropped this dangerous budget and left the public and lawmakers only an hour to look at all 800 pages of it before a vote.
