Progress Michigan Statement on Charges Against DHHS Director Nick Lyon and Other Snyder/Calley Administration Officials
MICHIGAN — Progress Michigan released the following statement regarding charges being filed against Nick Lyon, the state’s health director, and other members of the Snyder/Calley administration.
“These charges show that the failure in Flint lies squarely at the feet of Governor Rick Snyder,” said Lonnie Scott, executive director of Progress Michigan. “Nick Lyon’s statement from the charging document, ‘everyone has to die of something’ shows a callous disregard for the lives lost by a member of the Snyder/Calley administration. Now that these charges have been levied against a top cabinet official, we renew our call for Governor Rick Snyder to immediately resign.”
