Walker Declares War on Working People, Immediately Waves White Flag
Attacking working people is not how you govern — or run for president
MICHIGAN — Today, Republican presidential hopeful Scott Walker is expected to suspend his campaign amid abysmal polling numbers and a resume that held one feature: attacking working people. In a pathetic, last ditch effort to save his own national political aspirations, Walker once again took the attack to unions and working families during the last presidential debate.
“This abrupt exit from the one-time Koch brother favorite should send a clear message to the other Republicans running for President, you’re dead on arrival to the presidential scene if all you bring to the table is attacking working people and unions, which is why Walker’s national political aspirations have fallen flat,” said Lonnie Scott, executive director of Progress Michigan. “Maybe it was Walker following the lead of another Great Lakes governor on right to work or his appalling rhetoric directed at his own constituents who were angered by policies, but one thing is for sure: Walker declared war on working people and immediately had to wave the white flag in surrender.”
