It’s disappointing that the two Republican board members voted to overrule the recommendation of the Secretary of State staff that this petition be certified. Throwing out the signatures of hundreds of thousands of Michigan voters is the kind of partisan game-playing we’re seeing far too much of these days in Lansing. We hope the courts will look at the simple, verifiable facts that the people of Michigan want this measure on the ballot and let us vote on it in November.
