Progress Michigan Demands Leader Hall Hold Rep. Schriver Accountable for Promoting Racist Conspiracy Theory
Hall must make clear that white supremacy has no place in state government
MICHIGAN – On Thursday, Progress Michigan called for the resignation of Michigan State Representative Josh Schriver after he recently retweeted a meme pushing the white supremacist “Great Replacement Theory,” which has been used repeatedly by white nationalists to justify murderous rampages.
Now Progress Michigan is calling on Michigan House Minority Leader Matt Hall to hold Representative Schriver accountable, and denounce his actions.
“Leadership is about showing up when it matters. When someone in your ranks shares white supremacist content, that sure as hell is the time to show up,speak out, and take action,” said Sam Inglot, executive director of Progress Michigan. “Silence is not an option.”
