Progress Michigan Commends David Hecker for Decades of Leadership
MICHIGAN – Following the announcement of AFT Michigan president David Hecker’s retirement, Progress Michigan is celebrating his leadership over the years. The following quote can be attributed to Sam Inglot, executive director of Progress Michigan:
“Over the decade I’ve been with Progress Michigan, David Hecker has become not only a trusted colleague, but a friend. I know I speak for my entire team when I say we will miss working with him—but after decades of tireless leadership in the fight to protect public schools and secure justice for working people, he’s earned his retirement and I hope he enjoys all that this next chapter in life has to offer. As sad as I am to see David go, I am equally excited to work alongside Terrance Martin and the new leadership team, and continue our long-standing partnership with AFT Michigan.”
