Enbridge, the company that operates the Line 5 oil pipeline, has gotten away with a plan to build a dangerous oil tunnel in the Straits of Mackinac to replace a small but fragile four-mile portion of their aging pipeline. A state agency called the Mackinac Straits Corridor Authority, created by former Gov. Rick Snyder, is rubber stamping Enbridge’s risky plans that will put our Great Lakes in harm’s way.
