‘Real Leadership’ Ad Thanks Whitmer for Protecting Public During COVID-19
Ad draws a contrast between Whitmer’s handling of crisis, Trump’s foot-dragging
MICHIGAN — Today, Progress Michigan announced the launch of a new digital ad praising Gov. Whitmer’s handling of the COVID-19 crisis and drawing a contrast to what we’ve seen from President Donald Trump.
“Gov. Whitmer has shown what real leadership looks like during a public health crisis,” said Lonnie Scott, executive director of Progress Michigan. “We need level-headed and compassionate elected officials during tough times like this and Gov. Whitmer is taking the steps necessary to protect public health, deliver clear and concise information to the public, and show compassion to those most affected. However, we’ve seen a different story from President Donald Trump, who dragged his feet responding to the crisis, has given inaccurate information to the public and thrown temper tantrums throughout. Michiganders stand tall during times like this and we thank Gov. Whitmer for standing up for public health and being a leader in a time of crisis.”
The digital ad buy, features a video titled, Real Leadership, and will be running on digital platforms for the next several weeks. The ad pushes people to a Progress Michigan petition to thank Gov. Whitmer for her response to the coronavirus crisis.
