Progress Michigan names new Communications Specialist
Sam Inglot joins citizens’ watchdog organization
LANSING – On Wednesday, Sam Inglot joined Progress Michigan as the organization’s new Communications Specialist, taking over for Joshua Pugh, who recently became the communications director at the Michigan Democratic Party. Sam joins Progress Michigan after working as a staff writer at Lansing City Pulse, a weekly alternative newspaper.
“We’re excited to welcome a dynamic communicator like Sam who’ll be a great addition to the team at Progress Michigan,” said Lonnie Scott, executive director for Progress Michigan. “Sam brings sound writing, networking and watchdog experience to the table and will help drive the progressive momentum we’re building here at Progress Michigan.”
At Lansing City Pulse, Inglot wrote alternative-edged stories about a range of topics, including state government, local school districts, Lansing city government, political protests and economic development issues.
“I’m very excited to be joining the phenomenal team at Progress Michigan to fight for a better, progressive future for Michigan,” Inglot said. “I’ve always admired Progress Michigan for being at the forefront of the progressive movement and holding politicians accountable. It’s an honor to be part of this great organization.”
Prior to working at Lansing City Pulse, he worked for the Michigan Messenger, Capital News Service and MIRS. He is a graduate of Michigan State University.
