“The Romney/Ryan budget is bad news for Michigan seniors and the middle class,” said Zack Pohl, Executive Director of Progress Michigan. “Their plan would privatize Social Security, end Medicare as we know it, and give more handouts to CEOs that ship jobs to China and Mexico. It’s clear Republicans in Washington and Lansing have the wrong priorities. For our economy to thrive in the long-term, we need to invest in education and strengthen the middle class, not give more unaccountable tax breaks to corporate special interests.”
