Description
We’re looking for a research assistant to join us as a temporary contractor to help us build out our Progressive Voter Guide. The ideal candidate will be ready to jump right in to manage a research load based on a formula we have used in multiple cycles to create a comprehensive voter guide for progressives. The Progress Michigan team is small but effective and we’re looking for the same low-ego, high output drive from any new team member. This is a contracted, hourly position, which can be primarily remote with occasional visits to the Lansing office near the end of the project.
Responsibilities include:
Research
- Gather, draft, edit, and review materials for the progressive voter guide
- Collaborate with our researchers to complete written deliverables for the progressive voter guide
- Incorporate feedback and follow existing research direction
Requirements
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement)
- Working knowledge of Google Suite and project management software
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Proven ability to multi-task
- Comfortable in a fast-paced office environment
- Able to think quickly on your feet
Rates:
- Commensurate with experience, the consulting research assistant should submit rates between $25 and $40 per hour.
