New Poll: More Than Half Of Michiganders Disagree With The War In Iran
Michiganders are also cutting back due to gasoline prices
MICHIGAN – Recent polling conducted by Progress Michigan, in partnership with Public Policy Polling, shows that 57 percent of Michiganders disagree with the Trump administration’s decision to go to war with Iran. It also showed that Michiganders are curtailing their spending in response to rising gasoline costs.
“Michiganders are having to reduce their spending to pay for rising gas prices due to a war that more than half don’t even support,” said Justin Mendoza, executive director of Progress Michigan. “If paying for an illegal and immoral war wasn’t enough, folks are making difficult decisions about what they can and can’t afford. This morning it was nearly $5 a gallon to fill my tank, and as we approach the midterm elections, voters are going into the polls with the affordability crisis and discontent about war in the back of their minds. President Trump has been making a fool of himself threatening the Iranian people with genocide while already causing a great deal of destruction, and we’re all paying the price.”
