New Poll: Michiganders Displeased With the Lack of a State Budget
Voters frustrated by entire legislature, especially Republicans
MICHIGAN – On Wednesday, Progress Michigan released results from their latest Lake Effect poll, highlighting questions that focused on the state legislature’s recent failure to pass a budget on time.
“Passing a budget is one of the legislature’s most important jobs, and their utter failure to deliver one before the deadline is not lost on the people of Michigan,” said Sam Inglot, executive director of Progress Michigan. “House Speaker Matt Hall is so dead set on bringing the MAGA playbook to Lansing by hamstringing public schools and taking food out of students’ mouths that he’s holding our entire state budget hostage, and people across the state will suffer for it. Michiganders deserve better from our so-called ‘leaders’ and we will not rest until Matt Hall has done his job.”
