Biden Administration Investment Brings More Than Two Hundred Thousand to 27th State House District, Grosse Ile Township

GROSSE ILE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Investments from the Biden Administration have brought $213,000 to the 27th State House District according to data gathered by Progress Michigan, a statewide progressive advocacy organization. This funding has been dedicated to two projects that support the first responders and assist in renovations at their regional airport and were allocated by the American Rescue Plan Act and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, helping to improve the quality of life for Michiganders who live, work, and play in the area.

“I’m excited that Grosse Ile Township is receiving more than $200,000 in federal funding for its municipal airport infrastructure and volunteer firefighter program,” said Representative Jaime Churches. “Investments like this highlight the importance of keeping our communities safe and ensuring continued access to critical services for residents across the Downriver area.”

The newly created BuildBuildsMI website contains data on the nearly $50 billion of infrastructure investments for Michigan from the Biden Administration. Visit www.BidenBuildsMI.com to learn more about the administration’s efforts to improve the environment, healthcare, transportation, education, and more.

“There are a lot of exciting projects being worked on and critical programs funded thanks to major investment from the Biden administration. We’re talking tens of billions of dollars for Michigan” said Sam Inglot, executive director of Progress Michigan. “But when you’re talking about numbers that large, it can be hard for anyone to wrap their head around what that actually means for their community. That’s what we sought to address with BidenBuildsMI.com, you can actually see where that money is going and easily understand how communities across Michigan are benefiting.”
