Progress Michigan Launches Site to Track Biden Administration Investments in Michigan

Biden Builds Michigan site hosts database of infrastructure projects with more than $45 billion in funding

MICHIGAN – On Tuesday, Progress Michigan announced the launch of BidenBuildsMI.com, a database of infrastructure projects breaking ground in Michigan because of investments made under President Joe Biden, totaling more than $45 billion. The site is the organization’s latest effort to inform Michiganders about the more than 5,400 projects ranging from improving drinking water infrastructure, improving roads and bridges to housing, expanding broadband access, and mental health services that have received support thanks to the Biden administration.

“It’s not often that the state of Michigan sees $45 billion and thousands of infrastructure projects spread across the entire state,” said Sam Inglot, executive director of Progress Michigan. “When you start to talk about millions and billions of dollars, it can be hard to wrap your head around what that actually means to you and your community. It’s our hope that this website will help people understand the true impact of this kind of investment in our state. We want people to have a central location to keep track of all of this work going on in Michigan. We believe this website helps folks see this public funding at work where they live and work.”

People visiting BidenBuildsMI.com can view every project along with a description of the project in categories including environmental related projects, health, transportation, education, and more.

“President Biden’s historic infrastructure and community investments through the American Rescue Plan, Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act will not only improve our communities but will help improve the quality of life for millions of Michiganders from Manistee to Monroe and from Detroit to the Keweenaw Peninsula,” Inglot continued.
