Michigan Trump Campaign Staff Member Convicted of Election Fraud
Brandon Hall hired despite facing trial for actions taken in 2012
MICHIGAN — A Trump campaign staffer in Michigan was convicted of ten counts of election fraud and now faces up to five years in prison. Brandon Hall was charged with election law forgery for forging signatures to get a candidate on the ballot in 2012.
“Donald Trump has made claim after claim calling the integrity of the election into question, but his Michigan campaign had no problem hiring a staff member facing election law charges,” said Lonnie Scott, executive director of Progress Michigan. “The fact that the Trump campaign and the Michigan Republican Party embraced Brandon Hall is just one more reason to recount and audit the vote in Michigan.”
