New Poll Shows Gubernatorial Match-Up a Tie Heading Into Election Day

LANSING — On the eve of Election Day, Progress Michigan announced the results of a new poll showing a tie between Gov. Rick Snyder and Mark Schauer in Michigan’s gubernatorial race.

Clarity Campaign Labs conducted the poll from November 1 through November 2. The poll represents a sample of 1,003 likely voters. The poll was conducted through an IVR survey, including live calls to cell phones, which matched the sample to the voter file and weighted it to reflect a Michigan midterm electorate.

The data shows Schauer and Snyder tied 45 percent to 45 percent, with 10 percent of respondents undecided.

A memo from Clarity Campaign Labs is attached with more details on the poll.
