LANSING – Today Progress Michigan released a video clip of a State Police Trooper beating a defenseless senior citizen at today’s rally in Lansing.

“Gov. Snyder should be ashamed that this so-called RTW bill was passed with billy clubs and mace,” said Zack Pohl, Executive Director of Progress Michigan. “We have the utmost respect for our public safety officials who spent the day trying to keep the peace, but this footage clearly shows a trooper beating a defenseless senior during today’s rally. These actions are deplorable, and this trooper should be held accountable for his actions. Gov. Snyder should apologize for today’s violence, and reconsider his support for RTW.”
