House Bill 5002, passed on Wednesday, guarantees that businesses don’t have to pay as much in worker’s compensation when workers are hurt on the job. This law is just one more example of lawmakers passing “reforms” that favor special interests, at the expense of hard working Michiganders.

Stand with union members and the Occupy Detroit movement this Sunday. Meet at the Labor Legacy Monument in Hart Plaza at 2:00 PM and bring donations for the ongoing Occupy Detroit protest. Suggested items include warm clothing, rain gear, non-perishable food, blankets, and toiletries.
