Fight for Clean Energy Now!
Senator “Smokestack” Patty Birkholz and her Big Coal Stooges in the Michigan Senate want to send Michigan backward, one dirty coal plant at a time!
Thanks to them, Michigan could open the floodgates to more coal plants that will send good-paying jobs of the future in renewable energy to other states. More coal plants mean higher costs for consumers and more global warming and pollution of our Great Lakes.
By supporting an energy plan (SB 213) that guts energy efficiency and makes a sham of renewable energy, the Senate is putting Michigan’s future at risk.
The Senate’s energy plan is terrible in every way, from killing renewable energy to even allowing dirty coal to be classified as “clean renewable energy.”
Smokestack Patty and her Big Coal Stooges in the Senate, including Sens. Randy Richardville, Roger Kahn and Mike Bishop are standing in the way of our ability to generate 21st century solutions to our energy crisis and create thousands of good-paying jobs.
Please send a message to your legislators. Tell them to stand up to the coal industry and adopt an energy plan that truly invests in the clean renewable energy and high-tech efficiency, not dirty coal plants and the past.
The time to stand up to Smokestack Patty and her Big Coal Stooges is now.
Please take action and send the Legislature a strong message to make the right choice by investing in clean renewable energy and energy efficiency, and turn away from more outdated dirty coal.
