These important measures will require state officials to disclose their personal financial information. Michigan is only one of three states that do not require their public officials to reveal their financial information. Michigan ranks dead last nationally when it comes to government openness and accountability. The citizens of Michigan deserve to know whether their elected officials are putting the public interest, the special interests or their own personal interests first.

Let the Senate know the days of saying no are over. They must say to government reform that will protect our families, create jobs and move our state forward.
