Too many Legislators and other top public officials are already looking for their next jobs in the lobbying industry.

Some of them jump right into lobbying within days of leaving office!

That raises serious concerns about who they actually represent. You, the citizen, or the powerful special interests, who could be their next employers?

Our elected officials were sent to Lansing to be our voice in government.

The public deserves to know that it is their interests that are being represented, not high-paid lobbyists, by stopping the revolving door between our government and lobbying! To hold government accountable, we must:

– Ban legislators and other top officials from lobbying for 1 year after leaving office
– Punish violators with fines of 90 days in jail and/or $1,000

The Senate can act today by passing HB 4313.
