This year, hundreds of thousands of Americans are engaging in progressive politics for the first time, as donors and door knockers, as activists and advocates. Here in Michigan, thousands of progressive activists and supporters are strapping on their walking shoes and mobilizing voters. This is why there is not a better time to learn or brush up on campaign skills! The Center for Progressive Leadership is excited to announce a voter mobilization training weekend - July 12th and 13th at Oakland University in Rochester Hills. The training is designed to give new progressive leaders the tools to make a difference in 2008 and experienced leaders the opportunity to learn leadership skills and new campaign techniques. Participants will learn skills such as Direct Voter Contact, Online Organizing Tools, Campaign Planning, and much more. The August 5th Primary is just a few weeks away, this will be a wonderful chance for those working on Primary Election campaigns to pick up any ideas or tips for Get Out the Vote.
