Mobilize Grassroots Support to Eliminate Poverty in the U.S. and Around the World!
Grassroots Campaigns, Inc. is currently running a campaign on behalf of Save the Children, a leading international relief association.
Since 1932, Save the Children has worked to make real and lasting change in the lives of children in need by empowering communities to lift themselves out of poverty. Working with Grassroots Campaigns on behalf of Save the Children will aid in bringing an end to poverty now.
We are currently accepting applications for the positions of Director and Assistant Director of our Ann Arbor field office.
Directors will be responsible for recruiting, training and managing 15-50 paid campaign staff. The team will reach out to local citizens, identify supporters, and sign people up to give grassroots financial support. Face-to-face conversations are the best way to motivate people and get them involved. This grassroots people-to-people support gives Save the Children the resources they need to help end child poverty.
Candidates need leadership experience, a progressive perspective, and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities, and must be effective public speakers and one-on-one communicators who are able to work with and motivate a wide range of people. These are roll-up-your sleeves campaign jobs.
Prior political field work is preferred but is not a requirement; we provide apprenticeship and training to new staff. Regional Director, Lead Organizer, and State Director positions are also available for experienced candidates.
Salary: Starts at $24,000.
Benefits: Healthcare available, paid holidays, sick days, accrual of paid vacation days.
Location: Ann Arbor, MI
To apply, please email your cover letter and resume to Mary at jobs@grassrootscampaigns.com, or visit us online at www.grassrootscampaigns.com/jobs.php.
