POSITION: Full-time Housing Counselor
ACORN Housing, a national non-profit, seeks committed, detailed person for housing counseling program in Detroit, MI, which helps low-mod income families become homeowners and protect themselves from predatory lenders and foreclosure. Must be good with math, verbal and written communication, must be self-motivated and analytical and really want to make a difference in the community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Four years of college or relevant working experience
- Experience with Microsoft Word, working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, have good interpersonal skills and ability to work with a team.
- Non-profit, banking, or mortgage origination background helpful but not required
- Able to work evenings and weekends
Starting Salary: $26,500 per year or DOQ; Benefits provided
